BANGOR - John "Jack" Eisentrager Sr. of Bangor, Maine passed away peacefully at home Oct. 17, 2021. Jack was born April 8, 1929, in Springvalley, Il. to Henry and Kate Eisentrager.
Jack joined the USAF at 17, and met his wife Hope while stationed at Dow AFB. Jack retired from the USAF after 20 years to then work for the USPS for 20 years. Jack loved cars, fishing, bowling, the Red Sox and the Patriots.
Surviving are Jack's children, Peggy and Paul LaGrange and Jack Jr. and Andrea Eisentrager. Jack is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jack was predeceased by his wife of 71 years, Hope; and his grandson, Andrew Eisentrager.
The family invites relatives and friends to share memories and refreshments 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2012, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
