John Leeman

John A. Leeman Jr, 77, passed away March 29th, 2022, at a Bangor Hospital. He was born November 2nd, 1944, in Bangor, the son of John A. and Josephine (O’Donnell) Leeman. John attended St. Mary’s School and graduated from John Bapst High School, class of 1962. He served 3 years in the United States Army and later was employed at Doug’s Shop ‘n Save, later known as Hannaford’s, where he was employed for 40 years. He married Barbara (Harmon) Leeman and they were together for 37 years.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Barbara, are his step-sons; Peter (Lori) Lee of Bangor, and Christopher Lee of Thailand. He was Papa to his grandchildren; Audrie (Nick) Seluke, Darrick Lee and his fiancée, Kaylee Pelletier, and Jonathan Lee; a special great-grandson, Ian; his sister, Josephine Chasse of Brewer; his niece, Catherine (Peter) Thistle and her children, Sam and Sally; his nephews, Chris Leeman and his children, Cooper and Siena, and John Chasse; his sister-in-law, Vicky Leeman of Bangor; his brothers in-law, Dale Harmon and his children, and Roland Harmon and his children.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Bill Leeman; his sisters-in-law, Beverly Baker, Cynthia Juhasz and her husband, Charles, Ramona Harmon, and Barbara Harmon; and his brother in-law, Gilman Chasse.
