John Nadeau, 41, passed away unexpectedly May 27, 2019, due to a tragic accident in Bangor. John was funny, kind-hearted and loved by all who knew him. He was a talented craftsman in woodworking and created some very beautiful things, particularly some beautiful guitars. Over the years John had many pets but especially loved his dog “Oreo” who went everywhere with him.
John served in the Marine Corp and was very proud of his service.
In his teenage years he enjoyed playing ice hockey and still enjoyed watching the Bruins.
John was predeceased by his mother Katie (Flanigan) Nadeau.
He is survived by his wife and love of his life, Summer Francis of Indian Island; stepsons Hunter Francis and Marcus King; step granddaughter Kendall Yvonne King; his father The Reverend Roland Nadeau of Bangor; brothers Jim Nadeau and his wife Karen of Orrington, Joe Nadeau and his husband Eric of MI; nephews Sean and Isaac of South Carolina; aunt Sarah of Canaan; uncles John of Portland, Rick and his wife Natalie of PA, and Tom of Van Buren. John was loved very much by his extended family and many great friends.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5 to 8 pm. Thursday May 30, 2019 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer. A Funeral Mass will be held 9 am Friday May 31, 2019 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, York St., Bangor, followed by the Rite of Committal at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor.
