John Robert Graham Iii

November 23, 1937 — September 20, 2020

The Long Good-Bye
After an extended period of declining health, my husband John R. Graham III succumbed to the terrible, terrible disease called Parkinson's on Sunday, September 20, 2020.
"Love doesn't tell time, and time does not diminish love".
There is no easy way to say Good-Bye to a loved one. Especially after 61 years of sharing love, joy, and sadness together. I am angry that Johnny has left me. Through the good times, as well as not so good times, we were always there for each other. After several years of difficult days suffering from a debilitating disease I know he is at peace. He was a trooper to the end. Now I am alone with our children. Daughter Terri Rene, who held her Dad's hand to the second he passed on, her partner Chris Evon, and our son Jeffery Scott, a businessman following in his father's footsteps. He had endless love for our daughter-in-law Lisa Marie and our granddaughter Elizabeth (Ellie) Katherine Graham and our grandson Colby Jordan Graham. His very best friend who he shared a love-hate relationship, "Rosie" the family beagle. After graduating in the class of 1955 from Bangor High School he joined the United States Navy. Returning home his dream was to only work hard and provide a privileged life for myself and our children. From filling peanut machines, owning a pool hall, selling snowmobile parts, placing video and pinball machines at local businesses, starting a waste removal business to being the best landlord to all of his commercial and residential tenants. Hard work and determination made his dream come true. A sadness is also in the hearts of his sister Jackie Carver and her children Jodi Ann Brecht and her son Michael J. Welch Jr. Johnny was born in Bangor Maine November 23, 1937, to parents Lyvonie Lynch and John Robert Graham II who have pre-deceased him. As well as a sister Jodi Iweniszek. Nancy would like you to consider a donation to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mount Hope Avenue, Bangor, in memory of Johnny's love for all of our dogs. Covid-19 has changed all our lives, therefore Johnny's farewell will be a private gathering. His final resting place will be in the family plot at Mt Hope Cemetery.
