BREWER and BANGOR – John S. Morgan, 60, died March 19, 2022 of natural causes at home in Phippsburg, Maine. He was born November 23, 1961 in Bangor, the son of Frank C. and Judith (Philbrick) Morgan.
John was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He graduated from Brewer High School and the University of Maine Orono with a degree in Electrical Engineering, class of 1984. After graduation he joined Harris RF as an electrical engineer, leading him to work oversees where he met his future wife Annalee Menard in Saudi Arabia. Returning to the US shortly thereafter John led a long career in defense communications contracting for 38 years. He enjoyed the family camp at Beech Hill, telling stories, working outdoors, John Wayne movies, New England sports, family holidays, and the companionship of his dogs.
John was predeceased by his beloved father Frank, but survived by his mother Judith and his brother James, both of Brewer. John and his wife of 35 years, Annalee of Phippsburg, shared four children: Brian, Kelly, Glen, and Mike; and one grandchild: Frank.
Viewing hours will be held 5-7pm Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Friday, March 25, 2022 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St John’s Catholic Church, 217 York St. Bangor. Interment will follow immediately after in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments in the parish hall following the Mass. Those who wish to remember John in a special way can make gifts in his memory to the American Heart Association, P.O Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284.
