John Francis White, 75, passed away peacefully at the Maine Veterans Home, Bangor, on December 17, 2022. He was born December 20, 1946, in Bangor, the son of Michael and Santina “Sunny” (Puiia) White.
Michael lived most of his life in Brewer with his father and Grammy White and graduated from Brewer High School. He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War and had contact with Agent Orange which later developed into cancer. In his later years he moved to Hampden and became a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Rolfe and her partner, Eddie McAfee; two nieces, Robin Loring and her husband, Richard and their daughter, Anna, and Susie Trafton and husband, John, and their son, William. The family thanks the wonderful staff at the Maine Veteran’s Home for their compassion and care for John.
Services will be private for the family. He will be laid to rest with his family at Oak Hill Cemetery, Brewer, in the spring. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
