BANGOR and LILLE – J. Normand Parent, 89, died January 10, 2015 at the Maine Veterans’ Home, Bangor. He was born December 14, 1925 in Grand Isle, son of Patrick F. and Odile (Ayotte) Parent.
Normand served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He resided in Hartford, CT most of his life where he was employed in roofing construction, retiring to Lille.
He is survived by one brother, Albert Parent of Kentucky and two sisters-in-law, Lucille Parent of Lille and Annette Parent of Connecticut; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Normand was predeceased by his brothers, Lawrence, Gerard, Omer, and a sister, Jeanne Parent.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11am Monday April 6, 2015 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 768 Ohio Street, Bangor, followed by a reception at the parish hall. A rite of Committal will be held at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Lille at a later date. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.
