Josephine R. Monti, 99, passed away on January 15, 2016, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born September 4, 1916, in Torrington, CT the daughter of Armando and Maria (Bianchi) Coltri.
Josephine was a loving mother and grandmother to her family. She enjoyed golfing, knitting, needle point and cooking for friends and family.
She is survived by a son, George C. Monti of Millinocket, ME; a daughter, Carol Bowen and husband Lawrence of Amarillo, TX; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, George W. Monti, and her two older sisters, Gina and Louise.
Services will be private for the family. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.
