Joyce Shaw Paine

Brewer – Joyce (Hersom) Shaw Paine went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Oct. 17, 2021. She was born May 22, 1934 in Easton, the daughter of Burrill and Marion Hersom. Joyce was married to Vernon Shaw Oct. 28, 1951 until his death in September 1995. She then married Delmar Paine in 2000 and they enjoyed their time together until his passing in 2009. Joyce was a devout Christian and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Bangor for over 40 years. She loved her family dearly and prayed for them daily. Joyce was a housewife and supported her family supplementing the family’s income by working part-time at various jobs. Joyce is survived by her four sons, Rev. David Shaw of Branson, MO, Daniel and his wife, Sharon Shaw, of Thomaston, Dana Shaw of Franklin, and Dean Shaw of Stockton Springs; her brother, Larry and his wife, Libby Hersom, of Brewer; her sister-in-law, Elaine Hersom of Georgetown; 7 Grandchildren, Adam and Mona Shaw of Branson, MO, Timothy Shaw of Bangor, John and Jessica Shaw of FL., Anthony and Kristen Shaw of Hampden, Jerod Shaw of Hampden, Daniel Shaw, Jr. of Springvale and Jonathon Shaw of NH; 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Hermon Baptist Church, 2496 US-2, Hermon. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service. Interment will be at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton next spring.
