JUDITH “JUDIE” (PELLETIER) BROWN

BANGOR-

Judith “Judie” (Pelletier) Brown, 73, passed away on July 15, surrounded by her loving family. Judie was born on October 15, 1942 in Presque Isle to Everett Pelletier and Dora Alva (Billier) Pelletier.

As a young girl, Judie spent many summers swimming in Portage Lake in Presque Isle. It was one of her favorite places on earth. Judie was wonderfully talented in sewing, having made her children’s clothing, made beautiful wedding gowns, and is fondly remembered for teaching her two youngest granddaughters how to sew their own dresses for the annual Father-Daughter Dance. Judie also enjoyed knitting, making all her children and grandchildren intricate sweaters with designs on the back. Prior to retirement, Judie worked in the medical field as a medical assistant for many years.

She is survived by her four children, Claude Brown and his wife, LuAnn of Levant; Leane Thurlow and her husband, Terry of Dover-Foxcroft; Crystal Glatt and her husband, Garrett of Hampden; and Edward Brown II and his wife Melissa of Frankfort; grandchildren, Karol Brown, Judi Cyr and her husband, Matt, Kristen Carson and her husband, Richie, Nicole Nadeau, Shauna Bishop and her husband, Bryan, Brian Glatt, Haley Brown and Breanna Brown; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh and Cooper, Aireana and Azayah, Conrad and Audrey, and Natalie; three sisters, Loraine Beaulier, Jackie Hancock and Carolyn Coombe; nieces and nephews.

Judie was predeceased by a sister, Patricia French.

A Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Brookings-Smith 133 Center St., Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith 163 Center St., Bangor immediately following the service.
