Julie Mingo

November 15, 1942 — August 13, 2022

Julie G. Mingo, 79, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at MDI Hospital in Bar Harbor. Julie was born November 15th, 1942, the daughter of Raymond and Ruth Grant.

To our Mom, whose life was taken way too soon.

Whenever we hear childhood sweethearts mentioned, we will think of you and Dad and where this all began.

The smell of homemade bread and desserts will remind us of our daily school lunches and coming home to a different treat each day. Even with a full-time job and 7 mouths to feed, you made it work.

We will remember you with a 5:00 am coffee in front of the woodstove, paper in hand.

We will think of you each time we see someone else’s mother out on their daily walk.

Each time your grandchildren or great-grandchildren say “Grammy” or “Mingo,” as one would call you, we will smile and remember how much they were loved by you.

The mention of church will remind us of your commitment to yours and how you supported it as much as it supported you.

There are still dresses to be altered, holidays to be celebrated, graduations and weddings to attend and great grandchildren to meet. You had a life well lived; it just wasn’t long enough!

Our lives will be forever changed without you, but we will continue where you left off, cherishing our family and the memories. We are incredibly lucky to have had you in our lives.
