Brewer and Veazie – Justin Forrest Cain, 27, died February 25, 2019. He was born April 5, 1991, in Bangor, the son of Mark F. Cain and Susan K. (Jones) Ennis.
Justin was a graduate of Brewer High School, Class of 2009. He joined the United States Air Force after earning a Bachelor degree in Aeronautical science from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Justin graduated from Officers training School at Maxwell Air Force Base in March of 2018, and was currently engaged in pilot training at Columbus Air Force Base. His dream of flying began as a young boy. Justin started flying with his grandfather when he was just 14 and had earned his private pilot’s license at the age of 17.
Justin was a natural mentor with a big heart who loved taking the time to help show children how things were done. He also loved making friends and would walk up to total strangers, especially veterans, and have deep intimate conversations with them. Justin could make anyone smile and would light up whatever room he entered with his humor and quick wit. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, and his afternoon naps.
Justin is survived by his wife, Sarah (Fox) Cain; father, Mark F. Cain; mother, Susan K. Ennis; three sisters, Madison Cain, Amanda Ennis, and Lindsey Hammond; grandfather, Ron Cain and his wife, Pam; uncle, David Crichton and his wife, Michelle; aunts, Peggy Mulholland, Kim Ouellette, Terri Rossignol, and Karen Stacks; great aunt, Patricia Benner; nieces, Lauren Hammond, Grace Ennis, and Melina Cox; cousins, Haley Benson, Mackenzie, Nicholas, and Benjamin Crichton, and Megan Ouellette; many friends; especially his dog and constant companion “Kuna,” and his cat “Rusty.”
