Karen J. Boyd, 39, passed away on December 5, 2021, after a 9 year ferocious battle with cancer. She was born in Presque Isle, ME, the daughter of Beth Cyr Bell and Dale Boyd. She stayed positive and in fight mode for all 9 years, living life to its fullest, and refused to let cancer define her. She lived and demanded a normal life right up to the last few weeks.
Karen grew up in Aroostook County and graduated from Presque Isle high school. She met her life partner, Larry Langille II in 2003 and moved to Hampden in 2006 where they built their family together with their two children, Montana and Jackson. She graduated from cosmetology school in 2008 and spent her time loving to make others beautiful. She worked 12 years at Scissors Excitement and had many special friends there. Karen loved being a mom and spent much of her time sharing every moment possible with her children (including the furry ones). Karen was a special person loved by many, and was one of the strongest people you would ever meet.
She is survived by her partner of 18 years, Larry Langille II, daughter Montana Skye Langille, her son Jackson Kane Langille, her mother Beth Cyr Bell and partner Frank Kinney of Bridgewater, her father Dale “Jaime” Boyd and wife Gail Boyd of Westfield, her sister Jordan Bell of Chattanooga, Tennessee, her brother Corey Bell of Monticello, and her extended Hughes family of Hampden. She was predeceased by her brother Randy Bell and special step father, Rudy Bell.
Friends and family are invited to call from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM, Sunday, December 12, 2021, at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 45 Western Ave., Hampden.
