Kathleen Moring

Kathleen Moring, 79, passed away August 7, 2024. Kathie was born in San Pedro, CA in 1944. A graduate of Humboldt State University, Kathie and her late husband, John, moved to Bangor in 1979 where they raised their sons, Matthew and Samuel. Kathie was a long-time employee of the University of Maine.

Kathie is survived by sons, Matthew and his wife, Lila Abraham, of Norwood, MA, and Samuel and his wife, Carolyn, and their two sons, John and Thomas, of Bangor, ME; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Peter and Silvija Moring and their daughter, Rita Ramirez and her husband, Miguel, of Truckee, CA. Of special importance to Kathie were the friendships, companionships, joy, and love she had with her now deceased canine friends, Lexie and Reba, She was lucky enough to find a new canine friend, Chloe, who gave her so much love, so many happy times, and so many snuggles. Kathie also requested that her family share their thanks for the years of friendship with her dear friends Catherine Metivier, Devon Storman, Bruce and Maggie Reddy, Sylvia and Richie Smith, Heather Sprague and Bonnie Lundquist.

In addition to her love of nature and gardening, Kathie especially loved those special moments with her grandsons, Jack and Tom.

Donations in Kathie's memory may be made to The Salvation Army, Bangor Corps or the Jimmy Fund.

Kathie also wished that everyone should remember to be kind. loving, and generous in their everyday life.
