Kathleen E. (Coombs) Stewart, 64, passed away at her home, April 29, 2015. She was born August 31, 1950, in Charleston, SC, the daughter of Earl Clifton and Lucine Elsie (Oswald) Coombs.
Kathleen graduated from Rockland District High School, class of 1968. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Maine at Orono in 1972. She worked as an operating room technician for Eastern Maine Medical Center and most recently as a veterinary technician at Ridge Runner Veterinary Services in Winterport.
Kathleen loved birds and animals, she welcomed into her home two rescued greyhounds and numerous birds, including an African Grey and several cockatiels over the years.
Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Lucine Coombs. She is survived by a brother, Earl Coombs, Jr. and his wife Mary of Winslow, ME; two nieces, Jonna Coombs Hunter and her husband, John of Huntington Station, NY, and Renee Coombs Sweeney and her husband, Michael of Southwick, MA; a grand nephew, Edward Hunter; two grand nieces, Kara and Amber Sweeney; and a special friend, Melanie Fox.
