Katie Lynn McAvoy died unexpectedly on July 6th in the evening at Northern lights hospital in Bangor Maine. She was born in Bangor, Me on April 2nd, 1982 the daughter of Chris J. McAvoy and Paula McAvoy.
Katie graduated from Camden/Rockport High school class of 2000. Following graduation she attended the University of Maine in Portland Maine. She then attended cosmetology school in Bangor and passed her state boards for her cosmetology license with the top score in the state of Maine. She enjoyed her career as a cosmetologist. Katie has presented the gift of life by being an organ donor.
She is survived by her dad and mom, Chris J. McAvoy of Brewer, ME., Paula S. Quinn of Greenville, Nc, and her beloved sister Mallory M. McAvoy of New Orleans, La. Also surviving are many close aunts, uncles, cousins and many recovery friends and her beloved dog Julius.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 2 to 3 pm Monday, July 12, 2021 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where a service of remembrance will be held at 3 pm. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments in the Family
