Bangor – Kenneth Earl Clark, 70, went to be with the Lord March 23, 2021, after a short battle with cancer. He was born November 27, 1950, the son of Elden and Shirley (Smith) Clark. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother. Kenneth graduated from Central High School in Corinth. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. army with the Army Security Agency. He was stationed in Okinawa and with the 8th RRFS in Vietnam. He was also stationed in Ft. Meade, Maryland, working at the National Security Agency. He retired after 34 years at General Electric. He enjoyed working in his vegetable and flower gardens. His favorite hobby was woodworking and making Christmas ornaments, ink pens, and other gifts for his family. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Gail; daughter, Vicki and husband, Dwight Lingley Jr.; son, Kenneth Jr. and wife, Melissa; and a special daughter, Melissa Rhodes; grandchildren, Kimberly Lingley, Dwight Lingley III, Elizabeth Clark, Joshua Clark, Ashley Lasselle; great-grandson, Jaeden Smith; and many nieces nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank Phil Ware, of Bangor, and Charlie Lizotte, of Winchester, Massachusetts, as well as Kenneth’s Vietnam Veteran Brothers of the 8th RRFS, for their support. Special thanks also to the Lafayette Cancer Center, and to Northern Light Homecare and Hospice for the outstanding care they provided. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 11-1 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. with Pastor David Gardner, officiating. Interment with military honors will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., following the interment.
