Bangor - Kenneth (Ken) Brian Goodstein passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday, February 9, 2014. Ken had been in failing health for a number of months. He was born on November 2, 1954, in Bangor, where he resided for the majority of his life. He was preceded in death by his Father, Benjamin Goodstein. He is survived by his Mother, Hilda Goodstein of Bangor; his brothers, Lawrence Goodstein of Bangor, and Henry Goodstein and his wife Josephine of Newnan, Georgia. He is also survived by nieces, Rebecca Wilkins (Sean) of Ashburn, Virginia and Anastasia Belford (Jon) of Maplewood, New Jersey, as well as great nephews, Evan and Connor Wilkins and great niece, Samantha Belford. Ken worked at the Bangor Airport and for the past several years, resided at an OHI residence in Bangor, where he was lovingly cared for by the OHI staff, especially his primary caregiver. Lewis Johnson. He participated in the Special Olympics and was an avid recycler. In his younger years, he had an uncanny ability to listen to the radio, watch TV, and read the newspaper -all at the same time. Funeral services will be held 12noon Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Jewish Funeral Chapel, 118 Center St., Bangor. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Bangor.
