VEAZIE - Kerry Clark Jordan, 63, passed away July 10, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born May 24, 1959, in Belfast, Maine, the daughter of Leroy H. and Edith M. (Davies) Clark.
Kerry graduated from Belfast Area High School, Class of 1977. After graduation Kerry attended the University of Maine and graduated with a degree in Political Science. Kerry continued her education and graduated with a Juris Doctorate from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1988. She practiced family law in Orono for 32 years, becoming a partner at Griffin & Jordan. Along with other community members, Kerry founded FOR KIDS’ SAKE, an educational program to help parents learn about the impact of divorce and separation on children.
Kerry met her husband, Bruce Jordan, while they both worked in the restaurant industry in Portland, Maine, prior to attending law school. They went on to enjoy nearly 40 years together. Theirs was a marriage many only imagine, and one which brought Kerry immense happiness.
Kerry loved to garden and hike, and traveled extensively with family, especially loving her several trips to Cortona, Italy. One of her favorite places to hike was Baxter State Park; she summited Mount Katahdin and nearly every other Baxter mountain multiple times. Kerry and Bruce, along with a handful of lifelong family friends, established an annual Baxter camping trip that has endured for nearly 25 years and will continue, with her always in remembrance. Kerry loved her close extended family, and friends who were like family, and she and Bruce made a point to host regular get togethers filled with great food, excellent wine, and much laughter and love.
Kerry is survived by her husband, Bruce Jordan, their daughter, Eve Parent and her husband, Chris; son, Eben Jordan and his wife, Katie; two grandchildren, Nel and Ari Parent; two sisters, Joyce (Clark) Sarnacki and Kym (Clark) Sanderson and husband, Bill; two brothers, Kris Clark and wife, Kathy, Keith Clark and wife, Nancy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, Kerry was predeceased by a brother, Jeff.
Kerry brought light and love to all who knew her and was much loved in return. We feel deep gratitude for being fortunate to share life with her. She will be missed. Always. Until the circle once more is completed.
