Kevin Paul Willette

St. Albans - Kevin Paul Willette, 56, passed away unexpectedly on July 31, 2019. He was born in Bangor on October 1, 1962 the son of Joseph and Patricia (Arsenault) Willette. Kevin was raised in Brewer where he graduated from Brewer High School, class of 1982 and earned the honor of Eagle Scout. For over twenty years Kevin was a resident of New Hampshire. After his children moved away, he decided to return to Maine. For quite some time he was the owner of two Kentucky Fried Chickens. He then moved onto own a small shop called "Do Drop By". This store sold unique décor that one would find in someone's home. His next endeavor was a restaurant called "Out of the Ordinary". It was a pizza centric restaurant specializing in home cooked comfort food. Most recently he moved onto real estate and short sales of things like automobiles. Kevin was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hike, fish, hunt and snowmobile. Kevin was an incredibly hard worker. Anyone who spent much time with him knows that he always had multiple irons in the fire. If there was a deal to be had, he was there. Kevin also enjoyed laughing and joking. If he could crack a joke or play a prank, he was sure to do so. Kevin is survived by his children, Pete Willette of Michigan and Michelle Willette of Massachusetts; siblings, Timothy Willette of Massachusetts, Denise Willette of New Hampshire, and Vincent Willette of Maine; nieces and nephews; Jason Gallant, Eric Gallant, Josh Gallant, Tyler Willette, and Sarah Willette all of Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers; David and Peter Willette. A funeral service will take place at 2pm, Saturday, August 24 at Brookings-Smith funeral home 133 Center St, Bangor, followed by an interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 449 Ohio Street, Bangor. Guests are welcomed to share anecdotes or read what they wish in celebration of Kevin's life. The family invites relatives and friends to enjoy conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith 163 Center St., following the interment.
