Eddington - Kim Erickson, 64; We lost our beloved Kim on February 20, 202, at a Bangor hospital surround by dear friends. She was born November 8, 1955, in Bangor the daughter of Frank G. and Nancy (Huggard) Erickson. She was a life long Mainer, residing in Brewer, Lucerne, Somesville, 3rd St. and Eddington.
Kim graduated from Brewer High School in the Class of 1974, and from the University of Maine in 1978. She had an incredible sense of humor, compassion, grace and a special unfiltered wit (like her Mother). In addition to her parents Kim was predeceased by her brother Scott. Also gone are very special friends; Dave Adams, Skip and Gayle Kinney, Bobbi Fossett and Cindy Cosmos.
She will be dearly missed by her many friends at Caps Tavern and Jesters in Brewer; also lifelong friends Paula Thomas, Ellen Woodhead, Downtown Sandy Brown, Roscoe and Nancy, Margaret McDonald Joyel, Diane Young, Marty, Baby Karen and Greg; and many families she was blessed to have in her life; the Hughes, Craig, and McDonald families. Special thanks to Stephen Hughes for the handicap improvements to help her stay at home with dogs Sandra and Peety. Her love of animals was legendary and she is now throwing the tennis ball with Gretchen, Sarah-Jean, Emma, Frankie, Eddie, Ally Cat, Leo and Joey. Sandy and Peety are happy campers at their new home with their human and doggie friends. Cheers Kim! We love you, you will be in our hearts forever.
A Gathering of Remembrance will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, February 27, 2020, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor. Interment will be in the summer at Brookside Cemetery, Somesville. Those who wish to remember Kim in a special way may send gifts to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Avenue, Bangor, ME 04401.
