Kimberly Marlene Thomas

July 13, 1963 — October 6, 2024

Kimberly Marlene Thomas
Kim Thomas, 61, passed away unexpectedly after a long illness.
She was born in Bangor, July 13, 1963 the daughter of Philip and Marlene (Dempsey) Thomas.
Kim or “Kimmy”, attended John Bapst for the first three years of high school, but graduated from Bangor High, class of 1981. Kim briefly moved to Florida, but came back to the Bangor area, where she would work at and help operate her families uniform shop.
Throughout her life, Kim had many talents and loved to be involved. This includes bowling, being a part of her mother’s synchronized swimming group, as well as being a member of the Eagle’s club where she shared many great times with great friends. Kim enjoyed the water, whether that be the beach, the lake, or from a cruise ship. She was also an animal lover, often taking in animals. She was a very giving and compassionate person, always wanting to help those around her.
During her second marriage to Tim, they welcomed their daughter, Brielle. She would be Kim’s first and only child, to which they would always be joined at the hip. She prided herself on being the best mother, and she was.
Kim will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and contagious laugh, for being a great and loyal friend, and the perfect mom for Brielle.
Kim is survived by her daughter Brielle Dickinson: who she loved “all the stars in the sky”, Brielle’s boyfriend Zachary Mulligan: who she often referred to as “son-in-law”, Her brother Phillip Thomas and his wife Kim Thomas, their sons Michael, Sean and Elliott Thomas, and their families. She is also survived by many new and lifelong friends, many of which are considered family. She was predeceased by her mother Marlene Thomas, father Phillip Thomas, and many friends along the way.
A funeral liturgy outside of Mass will be held 10:00 am Friday October 18, 2024 at Brooking-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Relatives and friends are invited to call 9 am until time of service. The Rite of committal will be held at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Ohio St., immediately following.
