Kristin Miner

BANGOR – Kristin Lee Miner, 42, died of heart failure on August 4, 2019 at a Bangor Hospital. She was born August 6, 1976 in Portland, the daughter of Elwyn “Pat” Davis and Jane A. (Johnson) Davis.
Kristin graduated from Brewer High School, Class of 1994. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Maine at Orono and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1998. Krissy began her 20-year teaching career in Greenbush. She transferred to the Downeast School in Bangor in 2003 where she taught kindergarten and first grade until her passing. Krissy was working toward her master’s degree in Educational Leadership and was only two courses short of completion.
She will be greatly missed by her loving family, her sons, Cayden T. Miner, and Dawson L. Miner; her mother and father; brother, Andrew J. Davis and his wife, Stefanie; nephew, Jackson; and niece, Taylor of Westbrook; her fiancé, Kevin Thibodeau; the father of her children, Gary Miner; grandmother, Jennie L. Johnson of St. George, ME; and many, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, August 17 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 S Main Street, Brewer, with Robert Seccareccia officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at Jeff’s Catering Banquet and Event Center, 15 Littlefield Rd, Brewer immediately following the service.
In keeping with Krissy’s passion for children and teaching, the family asks that remembrance contributions be made in the form of school backpacks filled with supplies, to be collected at the memorial service.
