Lana Robichaud

March 17, 1949 — February 20, 2025

BANGOR - Lana J. Robichaud, 75, passed away peacefully February 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March, 17, 1949, in Dexter, the daughter of Lionel J. and Florice L. (Gilbert) Laferriere.

Lana graduated from Dexter High School, Class of 1967. After high school, she earned her diploma from Maine School of Practical Nursing, in Waterville, Maine. Shortly after, she moved to Bangor, Maine where she established deep roots; raising a family and working on "Grant 5" at Eastern Maine Medical Center.

Lana was a tenacious, hard-working and devoted mother, who furthered her nursing degree and became a Registered Nurse, while working full-time and attending all of her children's sporting events. She also went on to become Orthopedic Nurse Certified. A natural leader, Lana was also a Nurse Educator, training the next generation of healthcare providers and professionals at Eastern Maine Medical Center, for which she was very proud of.

Lana enjoyed traveling with her siblings with numerous trips to Europe; Italy being her favorite. In spite of a rigorous work schedule, Lana was a family-oriented Matriarch; spending as much time as possible with her children, grandchildren, siblings and their spouses, as well as her nieces and nephews. As an avid sports fan, she rooted for a plethora of collegiate and professional sports teams, Maine's own Cooper Flagg, but most importantly, her grandchildren's teams.

In addition to her parents, Lana was predeceased by her sister, Eileen Schoonmaker and her grandson, Jacob LePage. She is survived by her three children, Amy LePage and her husband, Scott, of Huntersville, North Carolina, Alison Stephens, of Pace Florida and Andrew Robichaud and his wife, Kathleen, of Brewer; grandchildren, Benjamin and Rebecca LePage, Chase Stephens and Maggie and Liam Robichaud; siblings, Allen Laferriere and his wife, Cherie, Elizabeth Hebert and her husband, Lauren, and Margaret Houghton and her husband, John and several beloved nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John's Catholic Church, 217 York St., Bangor.
