Lena Anne (Cyr) Thibodeau, 75, died peacefully at home on March 19, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Lena had been courageously battling several debilitating illnesses for more than 5 years and has now gone to rest eternally with the Lord.
She was born November 24, 1943, in Van Buren, Maine, the daughter of Alphy and Vivian (Violette) Cyr. She was the beloved wife of Alfred Thibodeau to whom she had been married for over 59 years. Lena was a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Church, for over 35 years. She served on the parish’s funeral ministry and was a Eucharistic minister to the home bound. She volunteered at the Eastern Area Agency on Aging and enjoyed tending to the needs of others.
In addition to her parents and parents-in-law, Alfred and Irene (Durepos) Thibodeau, she was predeceased by a nephew, Troy Alphy Cyr, a sister-in-law Geneva (Thibodeau) Martin and a brother-in-law, Patrick Clavette. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her children and their spouses, Cheryl and Paul Morrow, Lynn and Bruce Thibodeau, Debbie and Micah Rodgerson and Jeff and Jennifer Thibodeau. She will be especially missed by her grandchildren and their spouses, Scott and Allison Thibodeau, Paul Jr. and Caitlin Morrow, Megan Thibodeau, Zachary Hamilton, Jeffrey Thibodeau, Matthew Morrow and Casey Thibodeau. Her two great-grandsons, Evan Morrow and William Thibodeau, were a great joy to her in her final months.
