Lewis S. Coro, 74, passed away peacefully May 12th, 2022. He was born April 28th, 1948, in Bangor, the son of Matthew J and Dorothy A. (Jacobs) Coro.
Lewis enjoyed working as a farmer, working in the woods with his horses, and spending time with his kids. His love of horses passed onto his daughter, Wendy, and the two of them enjoyed many years working with their horses. He always enjoyed working with Wendy and his son in-law, AJ at the home CO-OP, working on the logging side of it and with the Belgian workhorses. He loved playing checkers with his daughter, Stacey. He also served in the Vietnam War, earning a Purple Heart.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Connie A. Dearborn of Alexander, Maine; his daughters; Wendy and her husband, AJ Munson, of New Woodstock, New York; and Stacey Coro of Calais, Maine; one granddaughter, Taylor L. Storey, of Princeton, Maine; three siblings; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, and his dear friend, Irene Kimbell.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 12PM, Thursday, August 4th, 2022, at New Macwahoc Cemetery, Mawahoc, with Pastor Mark York officiating.
