Linda Boyd

August 17, 1947 — January 9, 2023

Linda took her last breath on earth cradled in the arms of her family on January 9th at 3:33am, after suffering a traumatic accident 12 days prior. Linda was a beloved and devoted wife to her husband Earl of 56 years, the absolute best mother to her daughter Jennifer and her husband Randy, an attentive, affectionate and amazingly fun “Mammy” to her grandchildren Hannah and Lauren, a dedicated sister and aunt, and the most beautiful friend to so, so many.
Her presence was cherished among all that knew her, and if love could have saved her she would no doubt be right here with us still. Linda was a shimmering bright light. She could make an instant connection with a complete stranger and become a lifelong friend. Her genuine interest in others was a blessing to this world. She emanated warmth, love, patience and grace in every conversation and could turn any bad situation into something positive. She was resilient, intuitive, and inspiring…a forgiver, and a selfless caretaker. She loved to brighten people’s days with her homemade baked goods or handpicked flowers or vegetables from their garden. She always had just the right words for every situation whether it was steadfast advice, a poignant quote, a funny story, or just a kind sentiment. She had a keen sense of adventure, and appreciation for the intricacies and the beauty of nature. She was an explorer, a photographer, a lover of the ocean and stones and sand. Her gourmet picnics and delightful company made any road trip nothing short of perfect. Her hugs were like no other, the warmest embrace of comfort and love.
It is unclear how we all were so lucky to have had such an incredible, one-of-a-kind woman in our lives, but it is certain that a great void is left without her. Her spirit and memory however, will go on in every one of our remaining days. Linda lived life to the fullest and touched the lives of countless people along all of her journeys. She freely shared her love, unconditionally and told people often just how dear they were to her. May we all try to live our lives a little more like Linda did and not let her bright light ever be extinguished. She was a gift to this world.
A celebration of her life with family and friends will be held in the summer.
