Orrington- Linda M “Wood” Kelleher passed away unexpectedly at a Bangor hospital on March 20,2022. She was born on August 26, 1950 in Orono. Daughter of George Wood and Lillian “Burns” Wood.
Linda graduated from Old Town high school class of 1968. Following graduation Linda attended Husson College and received an associate degree in secretarial skills. Linda met her soulmate, the love of her life in December 1976. Their love was like where two became one, where you saw one you saw the other. They were always together, never apart. That tragically ended in October 2011, when her loving husband of 33 years passed away. Linda worked as a lunch aid at Fairmount School from 1992 until May 2020. Linda was a very devoted mother who loved her children fiercely. She loved cooking meals for her family. She was known for her famous rolls and her baked beans. She was known fondly as Nanna by her grandchildren whom she loved so dearly. She was an avid book reader. She read so many books she could fill multiple libraries. She spent many summers at her camp on Chemo pond. She was the Best Wife, Mother, and Nanna and she will be sorely missed. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her grandson Austin: and her granddaughters Alexis and Shanley. She was also predeceased by her nephew Gabriel. She is survived by her beloved children, Jennifer L Spain of Brewer, Ty M Spain and his wife, Heidi, of Brewer, John C Kelleher III and his girlfriend, Aimee, of Brewer, and Hannah Kelleher Simpson and her husband, Erich, of Orrington. Special grandchildren Jackson, Kayla, Amethyst, Trevin, Aidan, Dominik, Kaitlynne, Leah, Kalika, Arianna, Gavin: Great granddaughters Lilith, and Autumn: brother Richard and wife Peggy Wood of Phoenix; and niece Rachael Wood Boyington and her children, Kaleb, Emily, and Lexi of Bangor. She is also survived by her Aunts, Phyllis Knapp of Bangor and Arlene Ireland of Orono
Funeral services will be private with family and friends and will be held later in the spring.
