Linda Nadeau

September 13, 1951 — September 3, 2022

Linda Jean (Goslin) Nadeau, 70, of Winterville Plantation and Bangor, passed away on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Linda was born on September 13, 1951, at home in Winterville Plantation to the late Jeannette (Albert) and the late Gilman Goslin. She graduated from Fort Kent High School and was recruited directly by Royal Typewriter in Hartford, CT. She lived and worked in West Hartford while waiting to marry the love of her life James “Jim” Nadeau as he served in Vietnam.
Jim and Linda were married on February 27th, 1971: a week after Jim returned home. Linda enjoyed the next 47 years as a devoted wife until Jim’s passing in 2018.
Despite struggling with Multiple Sclerosis, Linda was born to be a mother and nurturer, raising three sons and myriad foster children at their home in Winterville Plantation. Linda loved being a grandmother to her seven grandchildren, Alexa, Carter, Alivia, Mia, Gage, Jack, and Noah. She loved joining them four-wheeling, swinging to dance parties, and spoiling them at her invented holiday of “Memere Day.”
In 2021, in search of a new adventure and substantially better shopping, she and her cat Roxie moved to Solstice Senior Living in Bangor, where she took advantage of their fine dining, live music, and making new friends.
Linda is survived by her son Steven Nadeau and his fiancée Monique Gagnon of Bangor; her son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Erin Nadeau of Burlington, CT; her son and daughter-in-law Mark and Jamie Nadeau of Presque Isle; her foster child Josh Cote; her brother Gilman Goslin; her brother-in-law and sister David and Diane (Goslin) Roy; her mother-in-law Gilmae (Roy) Nadeau; her siblings-in-law Carlene Soucie, Janet Nadeau, Dana and Ann (Morneault) Nadeau, Philip Nadeau, Raymond and Mary Saucier, and Kevin and Jennifer (Arrington) Nadeau; her cousin and dear friend Pat Crane; and countless nieces, nephews, godchildren, friends, and family.
In addition to her husband, mother, and father, Linda joins her brother-in-law Carlton Soucie, her sister-in-law Louella (Marin) Nadeau, and her beloved daughter-in-law Angel (Allen) Nadeau in everlasting life.
