Linda Smith

PRESQUE ISLE – Linda L. Smith, 66, died after a brief illness February 22, 2014, at a Bangor hospital. She was born July 16, 1947, the daughter of Lawrence M. and Lora F. (Craig) Libby.
Linda graduated from Presque Isle High School, Class of 1965, and University of Maine Presque Isle, Class of 1969. She married Milton E. Smith in 1968. Linda taught school in Brewer for a few years, and was a bookkeeper for The Value House and the family business. Linda was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Past President of Presque Isle Chamber of Commerce, and served on several community boards, and very active in the Ice Skating Club, Cub Scouts and PTA. Linda loved music and going to concerts especially for new bands. She was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Linda is survived by her husband of 45 years, Milton Smith; a son, Derik Smith and his wife Ellyn of Presque Isle; a grandson, Erik Smith; a granddaughter, Adelle Smith. Linda was predeceased by her parents.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
