Lorena Otis, age 72, loving mother of 4 beautiful women and adoring partner to Philip Roy. Lorena passed away on August 17th, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in November of 1951 in Millinocket Maine, the daughter of Doris “Dolly” and Ronald Coon. Lorena grew up in Medway surrounded by her large family and was the oldest child of nine. She graduated from Schenck High School, Class of 1970. Following graduation, Lorena had a long-time career in hospitality.
Lorena could be described as an extremely social and artistic person. She enjoyed making all sorts of beautiful pieces. She also loved traveling with Phil, together they traveled all over the United States making many friends along the way that she stayed connected with throughout the years. The coast of Maine had a special place in Lorena’s heart, where she spent many summers surrounded by friends and family.
Lorena was an amazing woman who lived a fulfilling life. She will be deeply missed by her family and everyone’s lives she touched.
Lorena is lovingly survived by her partner, Philip Roy, siblings; Ronnie Coon, Larry Coon, Joel Coon, Audrey Sherwood, Terri Turcotte, Corey Coon, and their spouses, daughters; Tammy Harrison, Clara-Joe Otis, Jessica Cookson, and Crystal Otis, grandchildren; Pheonix, Shyla, Joshua, Kody, Jesse, and Veronica, and great-grandchildren; Issac, Jude, Madeline, Rylin, Oscar, Finnley, Eric, Ransom, and Evelynn.
In addition to her parents, Lorena is predeceased by two sisters, Mary Gagnon, and Jane Boyer.
We welcome everyone to please join us to celebrate Lorena on Monday, August 26th at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St, Bangor, where a funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. with a viewing before starting at noon.
