Louis R. Ballenger, Jr., 47, died unexpectedly February 2, 2022. The family is deeply saddened by his sudden death. He was born May 19, 1974 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Luis R. and Lucy (Rodriguez) Ballenger.
Louis grew up in Brooklyn, NY where he attended Bishop Ford High School and was very active in the track program. Louis lived in Florida for over 20 years where he met his wife, Sally and they had recently moved to Maine. Louis loved Maine life and the calm and quiet it gave him.
Louis is survived by his wife, Sally (Dodge) Ballenger; children, Bobby, Yonaria Cruz and her husband Rafael, and Emily; mother, Lucy Ballenger; sister, Lisa Ballenger; grandmother, Aida Rodriguez; grandchildren, Derexiel and Mianelys; and nieces and nephews, including Luca who held a very special place in his heart. Preceding him in death was his loving father, Luis Ballenger, Sr., his grandfather Luis Rodriguez Reyes, and his grandmother Antonia Gomez.
Louis loved his family, the Yankees, computers, movies, working on his truck and his 3D Printers. He loved his pets especially his miniature poodles “babies” Mia and Milo; and his extra special Max who predeceased him. We will miss him but know he is with his father and at peace.
