Louis L. “Lou” Mallory, 84 peacefully passed away in his sleep on February 21, 2019. He was born May 12, 1934 in Bangor, Maine, the son of Leon and Eva (Parent) Mallory.

Lou grew up in Maine. He joined the United States Army. A few years later he decided to leave the United States Army and join the United States Navy. He served in the Vietnam War and the Korean War during his time in the service.
Lou loved everyone he ever came across and everyone loved him. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it or even his very last dollar. His love for people was unconditional. If you knew Lou, then you knew he always had a smile on his face, and he was thinking of some sort of joke to shower you with. To poke fun at you with a joke was the way he showed his love for you. His jokes were so silly and funny that he would always get a laugh out of you. If he could make you smile, he had accomplished his job. He enjoyed the simple things in life such as hunting, fishing, camping, spending time at camp, and most of all being with his family. He loved to receive pictures from all over especially those of his grandchildren. There was never a quiet moment spent with him. He could tell you stories of his life for days.
He was a father like no other. He always put his children first in everything in his life. He never asked for perfection from his children. He would always say do your best and that would be good enough for him. He was so proud of his children and their accomplishments in life. He would share in their victories as if they were his own. He was a loving grandfather and a great friend to many.
The family would like to thank the Westgate Center staff for their special care and dedication to Lou. The family also wants to acknowledge the love and support Lou received from Devin Jewett, Krist Mallory and David Mallory over the years. Thank you for taking care of him and loving on him!
