Louise Church

CORINTH - Louise (Twist) Church, 95 years old, died March 24, 2016. She was born February 19, 1921 to Ralph and Annie (Thompson) Twist in East Millinocket, ME.
Louise was predeceased by her husband, William in 1987, also her brothers, Ralph and Harold, sisters, Martha Cutty, Geneva Champion, Bertha Magoon. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She will be fondly remembered by Paul Dunfee who had the awesome privilege of serving her as a friend to her, and a son.
Louise’s mother died when Louise, the youngest, was only two. Her uncle, Harry Twist and his wife, Mae took her in and raised her as their own. Louise attended Mary Snow School on Broadway in Bangor the first year it opened. She graduated from Bangor High School in 1938. She attended Zion Bible Institute in East Providence, R.I., graduating in 1945. She then stayed on to teach for a number of years. She grew up attending Bangor Pentecostal Assembly (Glad Tidings) under the ministry of Rev. Clifford Crabtree. She was the Sunday School secretary, and later served as the church secretary. In high school, Louise played the violin and went on to use her talent at Zion and in every church she would attend. Louise worked for Fox and Ginn moving company, as well as Picture and Gift. Upon moving to Corinth in the late 70s, she began attending the Charleston Pentecostal Church. The greatest love of her life was the Word of God. She taught Sunday School until the age of 92. Countless lives have sat under her ministry and been touched by it.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call for a time of remembrance 4:30 to 6:30pm, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Charleston Pentecostal Church, Route 11-A where a funeral service will be held 2pm , Wed. March 30 with Rev. Paul E. Dunfee officiating.
