Lucille “Lucy” Eliza (Reynolds) Boober, 87, of 140 Hancock Street, Bangor, ME passed away peacefully on March 12, 2022 at her home. She was born February 24, 1935 in Winterport, ME the daughter of Herman Reynolds Sr. and Nellie (Clark) Reynolds Sanborn.

Lucy, aka “Rosie” worked for many years at Wongs Laundry then she moved onto working at New Franklin Laundry and she later retired from Union Street Laundry in Bangor, ME. She was a member of the Bangor Senior Club and Essex Street Baptist Church in Bangor and Tops 311. Lucy had many dear friends at Nason Park Manor/Bangor Housing and a special one she enjoyed talking to and making her special cherry cheesecake for Officer Mike Brennan of the Bangor Police Department. Her enjoyment was playing Pogo on her computer, spending time with her family and friends and putting many puzzles together.

In addition to her parents, Lucy was predeceased by her husband Reginald Sr., a son, Reginald Jr.; two sisters, Arlene Cottle and Willetta Potter, a half-brother, Herman Reynolds Jr.; a grandson, Jason Tracy and a great grandson Jarryd Tracy. She is survived by her two children, a son, Matthew Boober and wife Betty of Carmel, a daughter, Ann Tracy and husband Ellery of Hermon; two step-sons, Ronald and wife Audrey of Mississippi and Gregory Sr. of Eddington; a sister, Margene Hicks of Virginia, a daughter-in-law Linda Boober of Alton, and a grand-daughter in-law Jamie Tracy of Hermon; eight grandchildren, Melissa and Tina of Alton, Susan and significant other Rob of Bangor, Matthew Jr. and wife Nicole of San Antonio, TX, Joey and Daniel of San Antonio, TX, Megan Tracy and significant other Bobby Alley of Hermon, Sasha Tracy and significant other Steven Bourgoin of Carmel; seven great-grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob and Jeremiah Boober of San Antonio, TX, Jayden and Jaslyn Tracy of Hermon, Savannah Alley of Hermon, and Harmonee Eliza Bourgoin of Carmel; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At her request there will be no funeral services. If you wish to remember Lucy in a special way please make a donation in her memory to CancerCare of Maine, American Diabetes Association, Maine Veterans/VFW Bangor and the Pine Tree Camp.
