Lucille Larue

January 18, 1945 — October 29, 2020

Lucille LaRue, age 75 passed away peacefully. Lucille was born on January 18, 1945 in Machias Maine to Eleanor (Mealey) Black and Carlton Black. She is predeceased by her parents, her brother, Robert Black and her husband, Ray LaRue, Sr. She leaves behind a brother, James Black of Machias Maine, a daughter, Donna LaRue, a son, Ray LaRue, Jr, and her grandchildren Bryce, Wayne, Eric and Elle. Special mention goes out to her precious Cockapoo, Lena, and her most steadfast friend, Bev. Lucille’s extended family blessed her with meaningful connections to nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lucille raised two children, befriended anyone who needed it, and was most fond of her work as a Med Tech, EMT and Substitute Teacher. She was an artist that saw beauty and love in all living things. Her gardens and her art will be treasured for generations. Lucille’s role as a volunteer at the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center is one that filled her audacious spirit and inspired others. She would want the Center Street Congregational Community to know how valued your faith and your friendship were to her. God Bless.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center.
