Lynda Lou (Breau) Perkins, 77, of Orono, died the evening of December 4, 2025, peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Lynda was born on September 26, 1947, to Charles and Lucile Ouelette Breau of Orono, ME who predeceased her. She spent her early years in Orono, attending schools in Orono with her sister Judy.
Lynda was loved by all who met her. Everyone commented on how kind, friendly and upbeat she was. Lynda has positively impacted the lives of everyone she ever met with her smile and gracious manner. She will be sorely missed by all. Lynda went to work for Merrill Trust Company shortly after high school graduation from Orono High School. She climbed the corporate ladder in the local banking industry and ended her career in 2006 with Bank of America as Operations Manager. She was the "Go-To" person for branch closings and filled in for branch managers when they were on vacation or leaves of absence all over the State of Maine. She was highly regarded in her field and did training for new tellers in Maine branches. Rather than fully retiring, she became the Office Manager of her husband's company Perkins Engineering in Orono Maine. She and her husband were instrumental in building the first commercial utility grade wind farm in New England located in Mars Hill.
She married Andrew (Andy) Perkins on May 12, 1990, and she immediately became an amazing stepmom to Leisa, Bill and Greg and grandmother to Leisa's daughter, Lauryn.
Lynda was an avid reader and always had a book in her hand wherever she went. She loved to travel with husband Andy, and they travelled the world together. She loved her stepchildren like her own and welcomed the grandchildren as they arrived and grew.
Lynda is survived by her husband of 34 ½ years, Andrew, and her stepchildren, Leisa Perkins Tucker and her husband Mike Tucker, William Andrew Perkins and Gregory Scott Perkins and his wife Michelle. She ended life with 9 beloved grandchildren, Lauryn, Ethan, Lucas, Andrew, Caleigh, Brannon, Camden, Issac, and Daniel.
