Madelyn W. Carlisle, 92, passed away January 21, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 26, 1926 in Troy, ME. Madelyn was the daughter of Clair E. and Florence (Parsons) White. She grew up in Dixmont and Bangor where she graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1945 after which she went on to graduate from Beal Business College.
Madelyn began a long career in banking with Eastern Trust and retired as vice president from Northeast Banking.
She enjoyed summers at Lucerne and gardening.
Surviving are one son Brian E. Carlisle and his wife Cindy of Newburgh; daughter Nancy and her husband Paul Dudley II of Hoschton, GA.; three grandsons Broc Carlisle and wife Morgen, Brandon Dudley, Tim Carlisle and significant other Allison Scully; one granddaughter Jill Prendergast and her husband Zach; two great grandchildren Eliza and Gavin Prendergast and one great grandchild Bennett Carlisle expected in February; one brother-in-law John “Bob” Mott of Green Lake.
Madelyn was predeceased by her husband of 63 years Lester F. Carlisle; brother Caroll White; sisters Marilyn White, Jennie White and Priscilla (White) Mott.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff on the fourth floor at St. Joseph Hospital.
There will be a celebration of her life at a later date.
