Margaret Disalvatore

October 16, 1929 — February 6, 2014

BREWER – Margaret L. “Peggy” DiSalvatore, 84, began her new life with the Lord on February 6, 2014, with her family by her side to see her safely on her journey, at a Brewer nursing home. She was born October 16, 1929, the daughter of Joseph L. and Ada G. (Mishou) Kane.
Peggy was a beautician for many years, but her greatest love was being a home maker for the family.
Jason Perkins, Margaret’s grandson writes: “For the last twelve years, Jody Perkins worked tirelessly and selflessly to make sure that Mimi never wanted for anything…. I just wanted to take a minute to thank him for all that he has done. I love you Jody. You are truly a man among men.”
Christina, Margaret’s daughter was by her side through it all. She put Mum above all else in her life, making sure that she was always comfortable and well cared for.
The DiSalvatore family would also like to personally thank the staff at the Brewer Rehabilitation Center. Their care for our Mother was second to none in seeing to her well being and comfort. They held her in their arms and saw her safely and smoothly into her next life.
Peggy has joined in eternity her loving husband of 54 years, Colombo DiSalvatore Sr. Her legacy will live on in the souls of her five children, Christina DiSalvatore Perkins of Brewer, Colombo and Karen DiSalvatore Jr. of South Windsor, CT, Antonio and Cheryl DiSalvatore of Longwood, FL, Joseph DiSalvatore of Leicester, MA, Chris DiSalvatore of Tampa, FL; ten grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2014, at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 S.
