Beals – M. Janie (Alley) Frenette, 75, died May 1, 2020 at a Florida hospital with her husband, Dennis by her side.
She was born May 30, 1944, the daughter of Hiram Warren and Kathleen Adell (Alley) Alley.
Margaret loved having her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren around. Family was important to her.
She worked as a clam shucker for many years for Carver Shellfish and also worked as a cook at the Head Start Program in Jonesport. Margaret owned and operated J&J and Sons Lobster Bait with her husband for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Irena Alley and brother-in-law, Harleigh Alley of Beals, and son-in-law, Brian Smith of Jonesboro.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Dennis J. Frenette of Beals; daughter, Belinda Foss of Jonesboro, son Albert Alley and his wife, Tonja of Jonesboro, daughter Susan Alley of Beals, stepsons, Anthony Frenette and his wife Sally of Old Town, Roland Frenette of Jonesport, sister Sharon Alley and husband Dennis of Beals.
Grandchildren, Albert Alley Jr., of Gaston, SC, Krista Foss of Jonesboro, Eileen Simpson and her husband, Christopher of East Machias, Darlene Megno and her husband, Kris of Machias, and Colby Frenette of Old Town. Great grandchildren, Hanna Megno, Jackson McCue, Emma Megno, Isabella Mills, Lia Megno, Liam Simpson, and Sophie Simpson; nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 2020 at the Sewall Field Cemetery, Beals Island with Pastor Daniel Davis officiating.
