Marguerite Buzzell

September 12, 1934 — December 27, 2019

BANGOR – Marguerite C. Buzzell, 85, passed away after a brief illness at a Bangor healthcare center on December 27, 2019. She was born in Brewer on September 12, 1934, the daughter of Robert K. Connor and step-mom, Viola Connor.
She began her working career at Eastern Trust and Banking, Co. on State Street in Bangor where she met Norman W. Buzzell. The two were married on August 16, 1959. She continued working at the bank until they started their family, when she became a devoted mother to their two sons. Marguerite was very involved in the Grace United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir, handbell choir, and the United Methodist Women’s Association. After transferring to the Bangor First United Methodist Church she volunteered at My Friend’s Place up until she was no longer able.
Marguerite is survived by her sons, James Buzzell and his wife, Kelly, and Andrew Buzzell and his wife, Stephanie; three grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, and another on the way; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman.
A memorial service will be held 11 am, Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Bangor First United Methodist Church, 703 Essex St., Bangor, with Dr. Steve Smith, pastor, officiating, immediately followed by a reception in the Family Room of the church.
