Marguerite “Maggie” Dutil, 85, went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2022. She was born in Brewer on February 15, 1936, the daughter of George and Mary (McInnis) Mann.
Maggie graduated from the St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Lewiston. She worked at the state hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital until her retirement. Maggie was a determined person who loved helping her family and friends. Her grandchildren loved spending time with her playing video games, watching Stargate, and eating junk food. Maggie loved to gather with her family for Easter, Christmas, and Thanksgiving. She was determined to have everyone in the family under the same roof to celebrate the holidays.
She is survived by her children; loving son Tom Dutil, and daughter Donna Nason both of Bangor; three grandchildren, Shawn Stephens, Corey Stephens, and Suzanne Nason all of Bangor; a sister, Shirley Cassidy of Bangor along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by siblings, Carolyn Kimball and Philip Mann.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 19, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish at St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York Street, Bangor, followed by the Rite of Committal at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor, following the interment.
