Maria Scorese, 74, passed away at her daughter’s home on November 13, 2022 with her daughters by her side. She was born July 8, 1948, in Hackensack, New Jersey, the daughter of Edward P. and Inez B. Moran.
In Maria’s early years she was the owner and operator of Hall’s Pizza and later Hall’s Restaurant in Guilford. She enjoyed traveling to visit with her family. Maria enjoyed her family dearly and loved spending time with her grandson, Carter.
She is survived by her daughters; Kathleen Howell and husband Tony of the US Virgin Islands, Lisa Maria Ritter of Lady Lake, FL, Christy Aleksiewicz and husband John of Holden; Aimee Scorese of Ohio; a son, James Sweeney and wife Lois of Massachusetts; grandchildren, Carter, Lillie, Justin, Raymond, Kylie, Colby, Jaycie, and Avery; siblings, Terri Zinn and family and James Moran and family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Edward B. Moran and her husband David Scorese.
Her ashes will be at sea with her husband David. A private memorial is being organized for the family.
