Marianne (Carnrick) Purvis, 75, died at a local nursing home, March 3, 2015, after a long battle with heart disease. She was born in Troy, NY, July 14, 1939, the daughter of Mahlon B. and Jane T. (Stevens) Carnrick.
Marianne worked for several years at Doug’s Shop ‘n’ Save and Hannaford before becoming a shuttle driver for Hertz.
Marianne is survived by a son, William Purvis of Bangor; a daughter, Patricia St. Peter and her husband, David of Glenburn; and two grandsons, Matthew and Benjamin St. Peter. In addition to her parents, Marianne was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Robert Purvis, and a brother, William Carnrick of California.
A Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be held for Marianne and Robert, 1 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor.
