Marilyn J. Bailey, 84, passed away peacefully at her home in Orono on October 17, 2024. She was born March 27, 1940, the daughter of Solomon and Florence (Cole) McLaughlin.
Marilyn tragically lost her first husband, George Lee, after less than a year of marriage. She was blessed in finding love again with her husband of 53 years, Carl Bailey. Together, they built a life, raising three daughters together.
Marilyn was a member of the Church of Latter-day Saints. It was here that she taught primary school, as well as working in the Family History Center. In her free time, Marilyn enjoyed time spent in nature, especially camping, watching the birds and feeding her chipmunks.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her first husband, George Cole, second husband, Carl Bailey; daughter, Deborah; brothers, Leman, Kenneth, Robert, and Gerald; sisters, Lottie and Evelyn; son-in-law, Stephen. She is survived by daughters, Barbara and Carlene; son-in-law, Allan; as well as many grand children and great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1PM, Friday, October 25, 2024 at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor, ME.
