Eddington - Marion “Sam” (Fichtner) Luetjen, 80, passed away March 2, 2016 in Port Charlotte, FL. She was born in Hartford, CT., May 18, 1935, daughter of Paul and Mary (O’Brien) Fichtner. Marion was predeceased by her husband James F. Luetjen, Jr., a grandson James Joseph Deschaine and a brother-in-law, Nicholas Casparino, Jr. Surviving are, three children, Anne Deschaine of Clifton, Cathy Hughes and her husband David of Clifton, Allan Luetjen of Hampden; seven granddaughters, Carole Luetjen and Bethany Deschaine, Amy, Amanda and Jolene Hughes, Brittany and Brianna Luetjen; brother Allan Fichtner and his wife Pat of East Grand Lake and Ft. Myers, FL.; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Casparino of Port Charlotte, FL.; many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith 55 South Main St., Brewer, where a service will be held at 6 p.m. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments in the Brookings-Smith Reception Rooms, immediately following. Spring interment will be in Meadow Brook Cemetery, Eddington. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the Eddington Fire Department, 906 Main Rd., Eddington, ME. 04428.
