BANGOR – Mary Irene Bofinger, 76, quietly passed away December 27, 2016, at her home with her family by her side. She was born October 3, 1940, in Wiscasset, the daughter of Forrest and Muriel (Foss) Lewis.
Mary met the love of her life, David, in Ellsworth and were married for more than 57 years. Together they had five children. Mary worked as an LPN in nursing homes in the Bangor/Brewer area. She enjoyed camping with her family and spending time around the family pool. Over the last ten years, Mary suffered from Alzheimer’s disease which eventually took her life. Mary was a very caring and giving person, who will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mary is predeceased by a son, Mark David Bofinger. Surviving in addition to her husband, David, are children, Brian, Eric, Nathan, and Karen Bofinger and their families, special friends Rick and Wanda Pacifici, and Peggy Beaulieu. The family would like to thank Michelle Hogan for her long friendship and help during Mary’s last months.
