Mary Turner

Milford - Mary Catherine Turner, 64, passed peacefully on March 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born August 16, 1960, in Bangor, the daughter of Gerald and Julia (Shannon) Turner.

Mary was a graduate of Bangor High School and Beal College. She was employed at North Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. Mary volunteered at the Children's Miracle Network, United Way, and the American Folk Festival.

She enjoyed spending time socializing with her many friends and family, as well as her pets. Mary had a lifelong love of animals and music.

She was predeceased by her father and grandparents. Mary is survived by her mother, Julia Turner; sisters, Libby Turner and Peggy Turner; brothers, Jim Turner, Jerry Turner, and his wife, Melissa, and Gary Turner; nieces and nephews; and one great niece. She will be missed by many especially Mary Jo Freeman, Jani Shuman, Teresa Demaso, Dawn Giddings, and Michelle Roberts.

A celebration of Mary's life will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
