Mary Fleming
Bangor
Mary Ellen Fleming (maiden name: Dunroe), 86, went home to our Lord on Sept. 18, 2020. She passed peacefully at Maine Veterans’ Homes-Bangor, surrounded by her four loving children and the wonderful staff.
You left us not so long ago, your journey met its end.
You left behind your footprints, for your family & your friends.
Your essence forever lingers here, on this earthly plain of ours.
We see it everywhere we turn, in the sunshine & rain showers.
The life you led was courageous, you achieved all they said you couldn’t.
Masters degrees & motherhood alone, giving up was something you wouldn’t.
Years of teaching, guiding & travel, gave you knowledge to pass to us.
When God came to take you home with him, He knew He could count on us.
Rest easy now with your soul mate, knowing your job here on earth is complete.
For one day we’ll meet again our angel, In the land of eternal peace.

She worked tirelessly at many of our local hospitals including Bar Harbor, MCMH & EMMC as a registered dietician before retiring.
