KENNEBUNK - Mary Jacqueline Frawley, 95, died peacefully on February 18, 2022, at Huntington Common in Kennebunk, her home for the last five years, after a lifetime living in Bangor. Jackie was born July 22, 1926, the daughter of James Doherty and M. Estelle (Duffy) (Doherty) Robinson.
Jackie married Alfred C. Frawley, Jr., her high school classmate, in 1950. Jackie and Al enjoyed 65 years of marriage until his death in 2015. Jackie said marriage was “a great institution and that everyone should be fortunate to spend life with that special someone”.
Jackie was active in Junior League, her favorite part being Children’s Theater. She was also a long-time member of The Quipus Club and “The Bridge Club” which she formed with friends decades ago.
Surviving, are her sons, Alfred C. Frawley III and his wife, Polly, of Cumberland, and Andrew J. Frawley and his wife, Juli, of Kennebunkport; one sister, Robin Wurster and her husband, Michael, of Acton, Massachusetts; five grandchildren; and many nephews and their families. After the death of Jackie’s father, her mother married Harold Robinson of Bangor, who became very special to her.
Graveside services will be held later in 2022 at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to remember Jackie fondly by reaching out to a friend. Jackie loved people and her friendships lasted a lifetime. If you were a friend, she never forgot you.
